Geoffrey Brown
Founder of IQ, Geoffrey qualified as a chartered accountant at the age of 22 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Acountants in England and Wales. He is a business school graduate of City University, London where he trained as an investment analyst. He enjoys helping people to realize their dreams (business or otherwise) and is a qualified life coach and neuro-linguistic programming practitioner. Outside IQ he loves music, the theatre and wandering around art galleries, preferably close to a cosy café.

Favourite recent books: The Help by Kathryn Stockett. The Stieg Larsson Trilogy. The Adventures of Mr. Goodnight and Mr. Loving. John Sergeant’s autobiography, ‘Give me 10 seconds’.

Favourite music: Too much to mention but from Buddy Holly to Faure. Geoff owned a record shop once upon a time, predicted iTunes 15 years before it happened and would like to believe the Captain Sensible album, ‘The Universe of Geoffrey Brown’, was named after him but it wasn’t although he did see the Captain perform at the old Talbot pub in Queen Street, Scarborough, before it was demolished.

Terry Gatens
Terry qualified as a chartered accountant at the age of 23 and is a maths graduate from Imperial College, London. He has the ultimate distinction of having gained marks of 108 out of a 100 in a maths exam when he answered both parts of a multiple-choice question.

Favourite books: Too many to mention but has a room at home full to the brim with books.

Favourite music: Pink Floyd.

Favourite football team: Charlton Athletic (yes, we know).

Ewan Wadeson
Ewan is in charge of accounts production and ensures the smooth flow of work throughout the office. He spends most of his time dreaming up bright ideas to help our clients save tax and plays lots of golf.

Favourite holiday destination: Florida.

Kathryn Daye
Kathryn is a fully qualified and experienced lecturer in Microsoft Office software and her consultancy services are available through IQ. Kathryn has a degree in Computer Science and is an excellent communicator.

Favourite holiday destination: Venice.

Graham Rhodes
